User account
When you create a free account, you unlock all knowledge articles and the premium web tools. For the account we only process the data required for login, security and access.
What data is processed
Stored normalised (lowercase). Login identifier and delivery of verification, login and password emails.
Stored as a bcrypt hash only — never in plain text. Optional; without a password you log in via one-time code.
For passwordless login and email verification. Only the SHA-256 hash is stored, valid for 15 minutes, then automatically invalidated.
Time and text of your consent as well as your optional newsletter opt-in (GDPR proof).

Providing the account and access to protected content (knowledge articles, premium tools) and account security.
Performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR). For the newsletter additionally your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Until you delete your account — possible at any time yourself under "My account". Account and login codes are then removed.
